Neuromuscular Condition
Every time we want to do something, our brain sends a message down through our nerves to our muscles. This allows us to pick something up, walk and even talk. Neuromuscular conditions effect these messages, making it hard for your muscles to do what they should be doing. They then become weaker and stiffer.

We can help build your strength back up and maintain your movement. Allowing you to
keep doing what is important to you.
Daily Activities

Washing & Dressing
We can work with you to increase your energy levels, strength and co-ordination to allow you to be able to manage washing & dressing tasks. This could include using a shower or getting your trousers on.

Preparing a Meal
Cooking can be physically and mentally tiring. Having to stand for long periods of time, concentrating or multi-tasking is difficult. However, eating the right food is important, therefore we can support you to get back into the kitchen cooking your signature dish.

Fine Motor Skills
Your co-ordination and quality of movement may now be altered making it difficult to pick up small items or use a phone. Through exercise detailed programs, we can work on regaining these movements.
Getting Around

Walking and carrying items
It can be very difficult if you dont feel steady or strong enough to get around, whilst carrying food, drinks etc.

With strengthening and balance work we can aim to getting you back to safely moving items around.

Balance & Dizziness
Muscle weakness may affect your walking and balance. This can cause you to feel unsteady, impacting on your confidence.

Luckily after a period of rehab, completing bespoke exercises your balance, confidence and independence will improve.

Getting in & out of a Car
We all want to get out now and again. Travelling in a car is usually the easier option, however getting in and out of it can be difficult.

We can practice different techniques until you're confident and happy to manage by yourself or with family.
Day to Day

Fatigue Management
If its harder to get around, you're probably having to concentrate more on moving. This means you're burning more energy to do everyday tasks. This may cause you to have good and bad days, depending on your energy levels.

We can work with you to come up with fatigue management strategies and daily goal setting.

Well-Being
When our routine changes and our life is impacted, it is scary. It is important to do what you love and enjoy, alongside your rehab journey.
We can help you find the balance to achieve what matters to you.

Going out
Going out to the shops, a resturant or gym may feel like a lot. By breaking the overall aim into smaller goals can make it seem a lot less daunting. We can be with you ever step of the way to get you there.
